I am only in the beginning of my journey in journalism but my number one goal is to give those without a voice an avenue to be heard.
I have a keen interest for the entertainment industry and everything that comes along with it. It becomes clear that the industry can be very one sided in regards to perspectives or sexist in relation to the depiction of women in the media. I want to be a part of the entertainment world but at the same time not focusing on trivial things such as what an actress looks like without make-up or defining a woman by the clothes she wears. I want the industry to change in how they see women in the media.
In addition to this, I want to write stories that bring awareness to issues that may otherwise be neglected or lost in the mainstream media. After reading story after story about crimes against women, I want to get the message out there that it is a cause worth fighting for.
